About Me
About Me
Hi, I am the founder of Your Medicare Assist. My name is Frank Aparicio and I have been assisting people with their Medicare for 15 years. I started in 2005 as a broker but quickly got recruited by Humana, one of the major Medicare companies. I worked as an employee of Humana helping people with their Medicare until 2018 when I again became a broker. I changed back to a broker because I wanted to give my clients more options for their Medicare. I am now contracted with many insurance companies like Humana, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Bright Health and many others.
My main goal is to educate people about Medicare and help them choose a plan that works best for their needs, health and budget.
Many people are not aware that they can choose their agent. Whoever sign you for a plan, becomes your agent. However, not all agents are the same. Don’t let any agent choose you as a client. Instead, you should choose an agent with high integrity and honesty that will give you sound advice in your best interest. If you choose me as your agent, that is exactly what you get plus I become your partner in Health. You can contact me all year and every year when you have questions or problems.
More history about me
Before I decided to become a Health Insurance agent, I worked as an engineer. I have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. My first job out of school was from a then small company called Spectranetics. At this company, I developed the first, second and third generation electronics control system for an angioplasty medical laser system. In 1994, I started my own company. A home automation company called FAEI (Frank Aparicio Engineering Inc.). I had to close it for lack of funds in 1998 and I got an engineering consulting job in Seattle, Washington. After finding out that the small Seattle company was not a good fit for me, I traveled and worked internationally developing database programs in Latin-American and Europe. I came back to the United State in 2004 and quickly find out that most engineering jobs in my field where outsourced to other countries. After working half way on a Master of Business Administration degree, I became licensed for Health and Life Insurance sales. I found out that this new line of work was satisfying not only because I was able to help so many people but I was also able to support my family.
